Ninth Ward Chicago: 2023 Election

On this page we will cover not only candidates for Ward 9 Alderman, also candidates for Mayor of Chicago in February 2023. Primary source for the information comes from the Chicago Board of Elections in addition to news sources. Here is information on how to register to vote also via Chicago Board of Elections.

Those candidates for mayor who filed petitions starting on November 21, 2022 are listed here in order of their ballot number 1 through 9. Candidates who were removed from ballot are stricken and noted. Will further edit page with more information such as links to campaign websites and social media.

These are the results of the 2023 mayoral race. There will be a runoff on April 4, 2023. Mayor Lori Lightfoot placed third in the results and conceded on Election Night therefore, she will not place in the run-off. There will be a new Mayor in May 2023.

Results are from ABC 7 Chicago from the night of Tuesday, February 28, 2023. As the final results are counted expect there to be an update to this page.
