To me, the Chicago Magazine quote, “I can’t advocate on behalf of public education and the children of this city and educators in this city without it taking root in my own household” really leaves her open to this.
Do you all believe teacher's union official should practice what they preach and also send their children to a public school instead of a private school? In attempting to advocate for public education they should be willing to put their money where their mouth is.
Also over at Capitol Fax a few tweets from CTU Pres. Stacey Davis-Gates which includes a belief that school choice as the "choice of racists". I better screen cap these....
Also just so that you know Rich Miller generally calls it down the middle and was trying to address this as a journalist before he put a post out on this. He said so himself.
